Contact this unit for:

Installation of equipment
Information regarding telephones
Problems with facilities: leaks, lights, locks, etc.
Assistance with office redesign
Movement of furniture and office landscaping
Erection of shelving

Unit personnel carry cell phones and can be located in the event of an emergency by contacting Library Personnel and Procurement (4-4424). When in doubt about building problems, contact Facilities.

 


Supply Room


Library staff may come into the Supply Room located on first floor to get the necessary office supplies. The Supply Room is operational during normal library hours. Carol Lane in Library Personnel and Procurement is responsible for monitoring the supply stock and placing orders. Staff & student directories are delivered to the supply room late October, early November/December. Knoxville telephone directories are delivered to supply December/January. These directories can be picked up in supply by departments.


Shipping and Receiving

Shipping and Receiving is located on the 1st floor, north side of the Hodges Library. Staff in this unit pick up and deliver mail to all office locations in Hodges as well as to the branch libraries. Working closely with the Collection Development team, Shipping and Receiving is also responsible for the pick up and delivery of materials donated to the libraries.

Mail

Mail pick up and delivery occurs once per day.

Hodges:
a.m delivery and pick up between 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Branches:
1:00 p.m.

U.T. Mail Services picks up first class and express mail. Items must be in shipping by 8:00 a.m. Express mail is included in this delivery.

Messenger Services

Normally, there is one messenger run per day, at 1:00p.m. During this run, the messenger delivers and picks up materials and mail in the branch libraries and other campus locations. Lib. form 150 is used for this purpose as well as for special runs, required for the delivery of urgent mail.
