Reserve Services
Place Items on Reserve
Instructors may place library-owned or personal copies of books and articles and other materials on reserve. Complete a reserve form at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor of Hodges Library to place library-owned materials on Reserve.
Why place items on Reserve?
- Checkout periods are shorter than regular items (typically 2 hours)
- Electronic Reserves may be accessed online anytime
- Provide access to supplementary materials not owned by the library
When would I use electronic course reserves instead of Blackboard?
- To provide access to print materials that aren't available online
- Not using Blackboard for a particular course
Locate and Checkout

Video Reserve
Place Your Own Videos on Reserve!
You can still put your personal copies on reserve for your students to watch at Hodges Library. Bring your VHS or DVD videos to the Circulation Desk and fill out a Video Reserve Form. The videos will be available for your students to check out at the Circulation Desk for in-library use only. Reserve is not available for library-owned video materials.
* Please suggest titles that you wish us to purchase so they may be part of the library collection and available for digitization.
