Call Numbers

All items are shelved according to their Library of Congress classification number. Each floor contains a wall map showing more detailed call number information. Go to this link for more information on how to interpret catalog records and call numbers.

  • Third Floor: A-GF, Z and Children's and Young Adult Literature
  • Fourth Floor: GN-PR
  • Fifth Floor: PS-S
  • Sixth Floor: T-V, Theses and Dissertations

Group Study Floors

Group study and moderate levels of noise are acceptable on the following floors:

  • 2nd
  • 3rd
  • 6th

Users are asked to respect the needs of others and use discretion when engaging in noise-producing activities on group study floors.

Quiet Study Floors

Please observe quiet study and minimal levels of noise on the following floors:

  • Ground
  • 1st
  • 4th
  • 5th

While on quiet floors, users are asked to silence cell phone ringers, speak softly, and use headphones with all audible electronic devices.

Library Instruction Rooms

These rooms are used by library faculty to teach classes in conjunction with faculty with other departments.

  • First Floor: 127, 128
  • Second Floor: 211

Group Viewing Rooms

These rooms are used by faculty who need to show video content to their classes. Reservation Form
