Accessing Data from the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) Data Archive

Learn about the world’s largest archive of social science research data.  Includes demonstrations of searching the ICPSR archive for studies, viewing the documentation, and downloading data files.  
 
Accessing Public Opinion Survey Questions and Data Files
Monday, February 23rd 10am-noon, Hodges 211

Learn how to access the data files behind published results from public opinion polls and attitude surveys.  Sources of data will include the Roper Center, ICPSR data archive, Pew Research Center, and Louis Harris Data Center, among others.  Also includes an introduction to the Roper Center’s iPOLL database of public opinion questions.

Studio Short Courses

  • Registration is required for all classes. Space is limited so sign up early. Registration ends the day prior to the class date.
  • Available to UT students, faculty and staff.
  • The classes are generally 1 hour long.
  • The full series of Photoshop and iLife courses are available on weekend dates.
