While the University of Tennessee is a state-assisted public institution, it receives less than one-third of its support from the state of Tennessee. The remainder of the university’s budget comes from student tuition, fees, auxiliary enterprises, contracts, grants and charitable giving. Private gifts to university libraries can mean all the difference between offering basic services or providing world-class resources.
The University of Tennessee Libraries serves the university’s undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Your gift to the Libraries helps support the acquisition of new materials, preservation of collections, new technology, rare books and manuscripts, and more. Through your membership in the UT Library Friends, you’ll help to empower the Big Ideas of students and faculty at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Library Friends at the Contributing Friend level and above enjoy borrowing privileges at the UT Libraries. Make a donation and become a Friend of the Library today! We are grateful for your support!
