Position: E-Resource Licensing Specialist - Sr. Library Associate III
Department: Electronic Resources & Serials Management
Salary: Pay Grade 37 - $24,829.92 minimum (2 year position)

Duties:

  • Review all new and renewal licenses for compliance with terms pertinent to UT libraries policies/definition, etc.
  • Negotiate with the appropriate party (i.e., publisher, etc.) the non-compliant sections of the license
  • Manage the workflow of communications with external vendors/publishers and UT campus offices from initial communication through on-going negotiation to license sign-off by both parties
  • Develop mechanism or process to manage licensing workflow
  • Monitor the tracking of license and follow up in timely manner
  • Maintain physical files of contracts
  • Work closely with librarians and other library and UT office personnel to answer questions and resolve problems

Required Qualifications:
College degree or some college and equivalent number of years working in library (2 years library experience equals one year of college.) One year of library experience. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with high degree of accuracy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact collaboratively. Ability to meet deadlines. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with IRIS; knowledge of automated acquisitions system; experience with licensing and electronic resources management
