Purpose of the Corner

The UT Libraries' Culture Corner, located on the first floor of Hodges Library in the Galleria area, is sponsored by the Libraries' Diversity Committee and showcases titles from the Libraries' collection related to the many dimensions of diversity. A new topic/theme is chosen each semester.

Spring 2007 Culture Corner:

Appalachian Culture: The Cherokee

The Spring 2007 Culture Corner features selected resources relating to the Cherokee, with particular focus placed on the Eastern Band. The selected resources offer an introduction to the history, literature, and customs of the Cherokee. Topics include Juvenile Literature, Folklore, and Family, Marriage & Education. Title lists for the branch libraries and an electronic resources list are also available.

Spring 2007 Culture Corner Book List: All Books are Available for Check-out.

Electronic Resources: Includes links to databases, electronic journals and e-books related to the Cherokee.

Media Resources: A bibliography of selected resources available in the Media Center of the UT Libraries.

Reference Resources: A bibliography of selected resources available in the Reference Collection of the UT Libraries.

Music Resources: A bibliography of selected resources available in the George F. Devine Music Library

Special Collections: A bibliography of selected resources available in the Special Collections Library (Hoskins).
