Holiday Party, December 2004
The Committee co-hosted with the Libraries’ Staff Association the Libraries’ annual holiday party for library employees.

Diversity Cooking Class, May 1, 2004
Diversity Committee member Jayati Chaudhuri graciously shared her culture with other members of the UT Libraries' through food by preparing three separate Indian dishes: Tandoori Chicken, Potato Curry, and Vegetable Pulao. Jayati's captive audience both watched and worked as she showed everyone how to prepare the wonderful dishes. Recipes and images from the event are available here.

Library Student Recognition Festival, February 17, 2004
The Committee hosted the Libraries’ second Student Recognition Festival. All student workers at the UT Libraries were honored. Special recognition was given to those students who had worked at the Libraries for two or more years by bookplating a library book in their honor.

Cultural Enrichment Brown Bag, November 24, 2003
The Committee collaborated with Library Training and co-hosted a cultural brown bag on ”Uganda--Tennessee Connection.” Dean Barbara Dewey and David Atkins discussed their experiences in Uganda in working with the Makerere University Library.

Workshop Series on Disabilities: "Creating Accessible Webpages," January 22, 2003
The Committee collaborated with UT's Innovative Technology Center to provide hands-on training for library staff in designing accessible webpages.
