STUDY ASSIGNMENT
Studies may be assigned to faculty who need frequent access to the research materials in the Hodges Library, subject to Provost criteria.
CHARGING MATERIALS TO A STUDY
- A carrel slip (available at the Circulation Desk) should be completed
in detail for EACH volume that is to be charged to a study.
- Such books must then be taken to the CIRCULATION DESK on the second floor for charging to the study and then returned to the study by the holder.
- Periodicals are NOT charged to a study. Uncharged books WILL be removed from studies.
REMOVING MATERIALS FROM A STUDY
- When a book is no longer needed in a study, the holder should turn the
carrel slip around so that the "RETURN TO STACKS" message is visible. Notify
the Circulation Desk and the book will be removed.
- After being in a study 10 days or more, books may be removed from the study and checked out when requested by another person. A notice will be placed in the study from which a book is taken.
- Books are sometimes taken from a study to be placed in Reserve. A notice will be placed in the study from which a book is taken.
- Books charged to a study must be cleared at the Circulation Desk before
they can be checked out on a regular loan to an individual. Likewise, books
that have been checked out to an individual must be cleared with Circulation
before they can be charged to a study.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
- Personal materials may be kept in studies at the owner's risk.
- Eating, drinking, and smoking are NOT permitted in studies.
- Questions about study policies should be directed to the Circulation Desk.
THANK YOU!
