Finding and Ordering Maps and Other Cartographic Materials
As an academic map library, we do not sell any cartographic materials or data. However, if you are interested in finding and ordering maps, globes, aerial photos, digital data, etc., the Map Library does maintain a file of catalogs, indices, addresses and other tools to help you locate what you need. This Cartographic Information File (CIF) may be accessed by consulting Map Library staff. However, as many of these sources are developing an online presence, we are converting as much of this information as is practical into this web index. Some of the more common materials our patrons inquire about and their sources are:
- U.S. Geological Survey topographic maps: Order directly from the USGS .
- Aerial Photography: Browse online imagery collections or contact various commercial sources below.
- Digital data such as DRGs, DOQs and DEMs: See GIS and Cartography Links
