Description: This database provides scholars with access to 23 full-text electronic editions of collected works in philosophy. Definitive editions have been acquired and developed that contain the full corpora of the seminal figures of the human sciences, including published and unpublished works, articles and essays, and correspondence. Figures covered include John Dewey, Aristotle, John Locke, St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas and Plato.
The collection also includes correspondence, diaries, memoirs and notebooks from many of the most distinguished writers, statesmen, scientists, churchmen, explorers and philosophers in British history. Writers and periods included in the English Letters Collection are Swift, Pope, Burney, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Tennyson, Dickens, Yeats, the Romantic Age, and the Eighteenth Century.
