Description: ICPSR is a membership-based organization providing access to the world's largest archive of machine-readable research and instructional data for the social sciences. The data holdings, covering a broad range of disciplines, are obtained from government, academic, and private organizations throughout the world.

There are several options for searching for studies.

To obtain ICPSR files, use the ICPSR Direct service to download files directly to your computer. Feel free to contact the Data Services Librarian for assistance.

All of ICPSR's codebooks are available online from the ICPSR website. Use the codebooks provided for each study for critical information , such as, description, principal investigators, methodology, subject headings, availability of data files, citation information, and most important, the specific information describing each of the variables in the study's dataset(s).
