The University of Tennessee Press and University Libraries Present Symposium
to Celebrate the Year of the University Press

Professors, graduate students, librarians, editors, writers, and other communications professionals are invited to attend The Book and The Scholar: Celebrating the Year of the University Press, September 23-24, 2004 at the John C. Hodges Library.

The first day of the conference will focus on the issues currently facing university presses. That evening, Tennessee Reads, a book club co-sponsored by the University of Tennessee Library Friends, will have its kickoff event at the University Club.

The second day of the conference is a writers' workshop geared toward faculty and graduate students who would like to publish with a university press but are unfamiliar with the process.
