The University Archives maintains and collects several campus newspapers, most
notably the entire runs of the Orange and White (1900-1965), and UT Daily Beacon
(1965-present). The Archives has the original newspapers in bound volumes as
well as some microfilm copies. Other student newspapers are also available including
the Lame Monkey Manifesto (1987-1991), UTK Spectator (1991-1993), Tennessee
Spectator (1992), and Conservative Spectator (1992-1993). Indexes for these
materials are scant.
Materials may be requested in the Reading Room of the
Special Collections Library. Titles kept by the Archives can beaccessed via UTK's
online catalog.
