Biographical Note: The mission of the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee is to develop educational programs and promote research to future the public's knowledge of our system of governance. They maintain public collections of political papers, including those of Howard Baker, Jr., and Fred Thompson.
Scope and Content Note: This collection includes various material concerning the Howard Baker Center for Public Policy. Included are two booklets on the life of Howard Baker, a CD-ROM presentation on Howard Baker (VCD, Roxio software), a brochure for the Baker Center, a program for the First Baker Center Breakfast on March 16, 2004, an invitation to a joint reception of the College of Law and the Baker Center on May 26, 2006, two Baker Center newsletters from April 2004 and March 2006, and minutes of the Baker Center Advisory Committee Meeting of August 15, 2003. The minutes include Baker Center Board of Directors bylaws, program summary with square feet required, and a building program of July 24, 2003, including architectural features, size, purpose, and installed features.
