Biographical Note: Clarence Brown was a UT Alumni, film director and producer, who donated funds to help build a permanent theater building on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus. It was finished and dedicated the Clarence Brown Theatre in 1970. It holds on average five seasonal performances by UT undergraduate and graduate students and community actors.
Scope and Content Note: This collection contains two season programs for the Clarence Brown Theatre for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. It also contains a memorial to Clarence Brown, 1890-1987, describing his life and film career. Season programs include small synopses of the plays, promotional photographs, casts, and dates.
