Biographical Note: The University of Tennessee College of Law began in 1890, offering a two year program in Tennessee Law, first located in South College until moving to Tennessee Hall in 1927, and to Taylor Law Center in 1950. The College graduated its first class in 1891. It began publishing the Tennessee Law Review in 1922, which became the official publication for the Tennessee Bar Association until 1953, and by 1937 it was one of only two institutions in the State of Tennessee accredited by the Bar Association.

Scope and Content Note: This collection consists of the College of Law Annual Report for 1989, celebrating the College Centennial, 1890-1990. It includes the Dean's Report, admissions, faculty activities, 1988-89 awards, history, development, 1988-89 honor roll, library, and career services reports. Also included is a photocopy of the program for the naming of the George C. Taylor Law Center, June 15, 1967.
