INFORMATION ALLIANCE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY COUNTERPARTS DISCUSSION NOTES

Maggie Johnson, University of Kentucky

Gayle Baker, University of Tennessee

Kitty Porter, Vanderbilt University

Rick Stringer-Hye, Vanderbilt University

Science and technology librarians have collaborated over several years, particularly with regard to electronic resources. A near-deal with INSPEC did not materialize, but the group had success with a consortial subscription to SciFinder Scholar that saved each library $1,500. On November 19, 1999 Kitty Porter, Maggie Johnson, Gayle Baker, and Rick Stringer-Hye met at the Vanderbilt Science Library. They compared the ways that they are gathering and analyzing electronic resources usage statistics.
