The AgNIC Local Foods Page is the University of Tennessee Pendergrass Library's contribution to the Agriculture Network Information Center (AgNIC) project coordinated by the National Agricultural Library, USDA.
Our goal is to provide links to notable Web resources that deal with the production, marketing, and research aspects of local foods. In addition to listing quality local food sites, we cover related agricultural, marketing, and statistical sites; databases; library resources; and other reference sources. All of these resources will hopefully make it easier for users to find the information they are seeking.
Your own state's Universities and Extension Services and your state's Department of Agriculture may be the best sources for answering questions pertaining to your geographical area. Individuals outside the U.S. will want to consider agricultural research organizations and universities in their own countries.
