Many electronic databases, books and journals to which the UT Libraries subscribe are available to authorized faculty, staff and students of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Log-in using your NetID and password for full access.

Net ID and Password - the key to online Library Resources

UT information on NetID and Password

Your NetID is the "name" part of your University email address "name@utk.edu". If you don't know your University email address, search for yourself in the UT Online Directory.

Your email address will be displayed. To remotely access the Libraries' electronic databases, your campus must be listed as "Knoxville," regardless of your actual location. If you need help with this step, call 974-7338 or email us.

UT Libraries' Catalog

Connect to the UT Libraries' online catalog

Access to the University Libraries online catalog is free and available to everyone. The Library Catalog provides call number, location(s) and circulation status (checked in or checked out) for library materials. For UT patrons, the "My Account" feature in the online catalog will allow you to see what you have checked out, renew materials, and place holds online. Please contact the library for more information about checking your library record.

Databases and Electronic Resources

Connect to the UT Libraries' Database Menu

The UT Libraries provide access to over 200 databases. Databases provide full text articles, citations or abstracts to journal articles and other literature from many subject fields. Libraries' databases are available to remote users with NetID and password. A few are available only at workstations within the library.

Electronic Journals

Connect to the UT Libraries' E-journals list

Many journals are available electronically in full-text. Access is based on the NetID and password authentication. Additonal ejournals may be listed in the Libraries' catalog. When searching for a specific title, look in both places.
